Do what you enjoy
Is it dancing for you, or would you rather do Pilates? Look online for fun workouts or plan one with a trainer from your gym. If you enjoy the workout, you’re more likely to stick with it and do it again next time!
Make a plan
Treat it like an appointment with yourself. Schedule your workouts into your day so you make time for them and get reminded.
Room to move
If you’re not at the gym, it’s important to have space to move freely. Do you have an attic that’s cluttered but would make a perfect workout space? Great! Turn it into a home gym so you can get moving without bumping into furniture. If that’s not possible, just rearrange some furniture temporarily.
Dress to impress
Not only is it nice to move freely, but a good outfit can boost your motivation too. We all feel better in comfortable clothes—especially when working out.
No energy today? That’s okay too!
Off days happen. If you really can’t manage a workout today, rest and relaxation are also important. You can also go for an extra walk with your dog or take your bike to the supermarket instead of driving. Every bit of movement helps your health and immune system!
